Building Muscle
Bodybuilders are concerned with building muscle and strengthening muscle. Large muscles do not necessarily mean strong muscles, there are many muscle building factors which influence the size, shape, length, elasticity and strength of muscles. One of the key factors which influence muscle size where anabolic steroids are used is the problem of water retention in the muscles. Building muscles this way, they appear large but they are not necessarily strong.
For building muscle, techniques involve use of free weights, squats, sleeping well, taking amino acids and protein supplements. For muscle building eat plenty of proteins, carbs, veggies etc.
Gain Muscle
To gain muscle you must ensure that you both eat and excersise properly . If you are skinny a good way to add calories and fat to your meal is by adding milk, cheese eggs and avocado. This should help you gain muscle. Drink high protein supplement shakes and eat high protein foods such as Syntha 6 and whey protein shakes and other supplements.
Excercises to gain muscle are those where you exert a lot of force. Heavy weight, heavy lifting! Each time you should make 6 to 10 repetitions of each weight being hardly able to do any more. To gain muscle you must actually “damage” your muscle tissue by forcing blood into the muscles and enlarging them. As they say... no pain.. no gain.
Bodybuilding Diet
Normal diets should contain a good balance of all the healthy things we are familiar with, fish, vegetables, protein and fibre and not have too many fatty foods or sugary foods. Weight loss diets should aim for a 15 to 20% energy deficit where as a bodybuilding diet would typically require a much higher calorie intake. Those on a bodybuilding diet who also want to lose a lot of body fat will have different requirements than a slim person wishing to put on weight.
Bodybuilding diets are typically high protein with adequate carbs and all other nutritional requirements for more normal diets. Many bodybuilders take high protein shakes and supplements in order to significantly increase their protein intake.
Typical bodybuilding diets are similar to normal diets but with several protein shakes per day, such as Syntha 6, as well as more fish and red meats to increase protein in the diet. Isotonic drinks are a good way to replenish energy after a workout.
