Laser aligning is a key part of any maintenance program to reduce internal wear and damage to the teeth on the gearflex couplings, to decrease vibration readings on either side of the coupling, to improve the service life of components including bearings, to lessen wear on drive plates and Wichita clutches and stop excessive clutch slippage during the start-up cycle. FPMS provides on-site laser aligning of all couplings and components.
