RPZ backflow valve installation & testing

Licensed to install, test and certify backflow prevention devises. Under Government legislation these valves must be tested annually (12 monthly) to certify and maintain correct working order and ensure that the devise is not defective or faulty.

RPZ stands for reduced pressure zone valve. The valve is installed in high risk areas where there is a chance of contamination between a toxic substance and your potable water supply.

In the event of back flow, the RPZ valve will release the contaminants to a drain before they reach your water supply. Testing assures the valve functions correctly, and re-building keeps the internal parts in like new condition.

RPZ Valve Installation :

A RPZ valve should be in a tamper free environment
The RPZ valve installation must not be near electrical work
The RPZ valve should be protected from frost and flood
