Speed humps

Getting value for money from a speed control system means choosing the right speed control hump for your application. An economy speed hump that works well in a block of residential units would clearly be out of place in a bus depot. Bitumen roads require a different fixing system to concrete roads. Some humps do not stand up to high volumes of traffic. Some cheap plastic humps simply fall apart. With many years of experience in supplying and installing speed control systems in a variety of environments, we are happy to advise on the correct speed hump for your application.

    Choosing your speed hump

Our 70mm high speed hump is suitable for a variety of applications, particularly where more assertive speed control is required. Its extra height also makes it suitable for industrial applications, where larger wheeled vehicles such as 4WDs, trucks and semi-trailers are common-place. The speed hump is moulded from a tough recycled rubber compound, and features 25cm long modules with rounded end caps. Simply install the modules in an alternating black and yellow pattern to produce a speed hump that complies with Australian standards. The humps are trafficable immediately after installation.

  • Complies with Australian standard AS2890.1
  • 70mm high profile for effective, assertive speed control
  • Supplied in alternate black and yellow, 250mm modules giving you design flexibility. Build a speed hump to your desired length.
  • Rounded end caps (sold as a pair) for reduced trip hazard
  • Built-in and concealed fixing points for easy installation
  • Two fixings per 250mm module giving excellent adhesion to road surface and increased ability to handle large volume of heavy goods vehicles
  • Non-slip surface
  • Built-in reflectors for improved night-time visibility

    Portable Speed humps

The use of plastic speed Bumps is widespread around the world, and they are most commonly found where prevailing vehicle speeds are expected to be low.

These plastic Speed Bumps can be installed every couple hundred feet to maintain desired speed control in parking lots, plants and around buildings. Speed Bumps effectively force vehicles to slow down to as low as 5 mph. Many locations also use these as a Portable Speed Bump allowing them to be removeable for things the bad weather months.

Our portable speed hump is a portable speed bump system that allows you to control the flow of traffic in various situations such as: Emergencies, Temporary Traffic Patterns, Check Points, Civic Activities, Church Zones, School Safety, Special Events and more.

    Wheel Stops

Essential piece of car park safety, we carry a range of wheel stops available in re-inforced concrete, plastic and rubber. We can ensure that the wheel stops meet Australian Standards and just as importantly are installed to meet those same standards.

    Rubber wheel stops

Our recycled rubber wheel stops are much more managable than their 70kg concrete counterparts. The wheel stops are now 1.65m long and 100mm high to comply with the recently updated Australian standard AS2890.1. They feature pre-drilled fixing holes and hi-vis yellow stripes for added visibility. Enquire for further details including our installation service.

    Concrete wheel stops

For car parks and parimeter protection. Available in 2m lengths, and 100mm high. Though cheapest to manufacture, at 70kg each they can be quite cumbersome to handle. Height 1000 x Width 2000

Concret wheel stops have a smooth form finish. While the finish is not an architectural grade finish, our wheel stops have a minimum number of bug holes (air bubbles) and no honeycombing. During manufacturing they are vibrated as they are cast to provide good consolidation of the concrete which increases durability and improves their appearance.
